Step 1:
Light the candle with a lighter. Ask your child to note down what they observe.
Step 2:
Blow out the candle and record the results. Records can take the form of notes and drawings.
Step 3:
Light the candle again, but this time, cover the candle with a glass jar. Ensure the jar is big enough to reach the base of the candle.
Step 4:
Ask your child to observe what happens to the candle and describe or record what they see. Encourage discussion about the observations and end the session by listing important points derived from the records.
