Animal Puzzle

Print out two sets of animal pictures. Cut one into a set of pictures composed of four or five pieces. Ask the child to complete the puzzle to form the animal, using the one which was uncut as a guide. Once he/she is able to do so, the child may do this activity without the use of the uncut pictures.

Materials:

• Two sets of animal pictures (feature at least 6 animals)

• Scissors
  

Step 1:

Put one picture of the animals on the table.

Step 2:

Cut one set of pictures into 4 or 5 smaller pieces.

Step 3:

Mix them. Invite the child to complete the puzzle by arranging the corresponding cut pieces next to the uncut pictures. The child may work with just the already cut pieces for more challenge.
